Ruffas is the perfect horse for me, and everything I could imagine.. Karen took the time to send me videos & Pictures of Ruffas and answered all my emails. Buying a horse in another province is an extraordinarily scary thing to do. Needless to say, Karen and I spent countless minutes on the phone together and wrote almost a hundred emails back and forth before the horse of my dreams arrived safely here in Ontario. Karen was extremely honest and upfront about the horse she was selling me, and that's what made me trust her so much. Having now had her for a month and a half, Azura (as I now call her) and I are best friends. After only 12 days I was able to hop on this unstarted mare and walk around. We've even been to a clinic with several other horses and she was a champ. Thanks so much Karen for all your support, and I'm sure we'll be doing business again in the future!

I have purchased a beautiful horse from Karen at Painted Pasture Farms. I have had Zantar for 1 week now and I couldn't be happier! Zantar is everything Karen told me he was and more. Zan is a 7mth. old paint x. Exactly what we were looking for and Karen seemed to pick up on that just from our phone conversations and emailing one another. I will deal with Karen again if we decide to ever purchase another horse. I have great trust in her and I believe she knows her horses and customers very well and will always do right by them. Although we haven't purchased (as of yet;o) we do lease out PPR Rapids On The Moon "Moon" --he lives with us here and makes every day a wonderful day with his sweet face, goofy attitude, and loving nature ...my daughter, a novice has grown tremendously in her horse skills caring for Moon, he is every girls dream come true, she sits on him as he eats, rides bareback, and on the off chance we catch him laying down, sits on his back and loves him up...in my opinion this is amazing in a 4 yr old!!! Great horse, and as a breeder of Golden Retrievers temperament is everthing!!! Well done PPR.........

We purchased three horses from Karen at Painted Pasture Ranch and they have just arrived a week ago. They are exactly like their pictures and everything Karen said they would be. Karen is a terrific person with good horse sense and she went above and beyond in order to arrange safe passage to Ontario for our two weanlings, Lacey and Tigger and our older mare Cindy. Karen and I enjoyed many chats on the phone and lots of e-mails. She thought nothing of running out in the morning to her paddocks and taking pictures of my girls and e-mailing them to me that same afternoon...! Thanks so much Karen. It was so nice to see the horses as they grew and changed and to hear little stories about them and the antics they were up to. They are in great health, full of life and running around in my front field here in Ontario as I write this. It has been a pleasure to deal with you and you never let me down on one single promise.

Buying a horse after looking at it is nerve racking enough, but to buy a horse off of the interent, a young one at that is even worse. But Karen was so honnest throughout all the phone calls and emails, you just forget about all the wories and have alot of faith in her. And not only was I her client, but she treated me as a friend as well. She told me that she would not put my horse on the trailer if she did not think it was safe and that she would find me the best shipper for him, it might have taken a little longer to get Mr. Big on the best trailer, but she was determined to get things done right in a positive and safe manner. I am absolutly please with Mr. Big and couldn't be more happier with him, he has wonderful manners, not head shy at all, and throughout his 24 hour ride to Ontario, he was healthy and happy, drinking and eating, not woring about a thing. I remember seeing him come off that trailer on all fours and with a high spirit, that was enough to say, "he'll do..". Thank you so much Karen for everything and I'm sure somewhere down the road I will be doing bisness with you once again.

We have purchased Karens Stallion "Rapid Resistence" from her, Karen explained that Rocky was a real dream, quiet, broke for anyone, so layed back, Not a trouble at all. It was hard to believe that a stallion was like that. But Karen assured me this was true!. To buy a horse from another state over the internet was hard nevermind a stallion. But Karen assured me that he was a good boy. she had a hard time parting with him through this transaction, because Rocky was part of her family... (Her horse) And because she had to decide on her breeding program and him getting up there in age, she sadly had to sell him.. Im so glad that Rocky is here with me. He is More than expected. When he arived here safe and sound with her driver that she has.. I had many people waiting to see him get off the truck.. And boy hes was bigger and calmer than I expected. He settled in wonderfully. Karen took the time to show me many picts of him and aranged shipping, and many emails back and forth,I felt not like a client but a friend. I am very happy with her dealing and would gladly buy another from her again..

I purchased my horse last year from PPR, and couldn't be more happier with my horse Flash and also with the way that Karen does business. She responded so quick back to my email and was very helpful with all the information that she provided, I requested more pics and she even went out in the winter time to the ranch where Flash was and took recent pics of him and sent them back to me that very same day! WOW!
We drove 9 hours to pick up my horse and it's a scary thing when you can't see the horse before you drive that far to buy it, but Karen was very helpful in providing me with all the information and pics I wanted, I couldn't have been more happier when I finally got there and seen my baby, he was everything that Karen said he was and more!

I really wanted to thank you for all your help in the last few months. Its amazing the relationships one develops when playing on their computer late at night!! Actually, I was really impressed that you responded to my first email so rapidly. It seems that a lot of people like to have web sites and advertise their "goods" but when you email them, they never reply?. Pet peeve of mine!
Anyhow, I just wanted to let you know Sunny is working out fabulously. I was pretty excited when you said you had a few horses for me to look at, even more so , when a couple of them fell right into the age and experience category I wanted them to be in. It was really getting frustrating working with my navicular gelding at home. I wanted a happy horse to ride?.
Considering Moosehorn is a 3 hour drive from Anola, it was super sweet of you and Ray to trailer him down to the ranch for me!
I know Sunny wasn't your own horse so it's often impossible to give an accurate representation but he is exactly what I wanted. He has a wonderful heart and loves attention. It doesn't hurt that at 17HH he also has a super lope!!! I am really enjoying him.
I can't believe how fast you sold my saddle, and for the price I wanted! I'm having a lot of fun drooling over saddle catalogues now.

It can be a scary thing buying a horse, then add the fact that you can't just drive up and see it! Well, Karen took away all of those fears. She represents what all breeders should be like! Honest and truthful about her horses, she has a wonderful ability to really pick up on what it is that you want out of a horse. Karen was able to understand what was important to me in a horse and the qualities I was searching for and called me as soon as she found Rosie. It was a perfect match! This mare is the best friend I have been searching for and haven't found in other horses I have had lately. Karen did an amazing job in helping me and I am so grateful to her. I would like to talk about selling a horse to the Painted Pasture Ranch.
I know it is scary buying a horse site unseen but believe me, as a seller, it is just as scary to sell a horse to a person not only sight unseen but from Missouri all the way to Canada.
It was so easy to work with Karen from the Painted Pasture Ranch and she always kept her word in what she planed on doing. Money was exchanged promptly and as agreed on. Vet was paid and she helped me (and the vet) to get all the right paperwork ready for the long trip.
Her transport driver was on time and friendly and very good with the horse.
Karen kept me updated when the horse got to her save and sound and also kept me updated when the horse I sold her had her foal (since she was sold in foal) and send me pictures of the foal.
I am a regular visitor to her web site and see all the updated pictures of the mare I sold and I have to say she looks so good and happy.
I am so glad my mare found such a caring new owner.

I would like to thank Karen for all her help in the purchace and delivery of my pal Patches. From our first contact in October untill Patches delivery on the 8th of November, Karen went above and beyond to help me find my new friend. She went out and took photos of Patches even if the weather wasn't great. This meant a great deal because buying a horse over the internet is a little intimidating. Karen listened to what I was looking for in a horse and she did an excellent job of matching me with Patches.
